Seventh series : Elegies is poetry collection whose meaning blurs over time, as a path which gradually fades away.  In Rilke’s poetry, the sensitive replaces the intelligible.  The boundaries, which I am labouring to erect, may conjure up a fledgling form of the ‘arduous nowhere‘ that is so specific to Rilke.  They emerge, at the unstable boundary between white and colour, from the very location where words can no longer be expressed.  Elsewhere.
What we perceive of the world could well be no more than a fragment of a much larger reality.  This artwork series is a testimony to that misunderstood space.
At the deepest of perception, the space of our sensations stretches, folds up, and contracts.  While my work barely evokes it, this dynamic space lures us into its individual reality.
